Walker, Texas Ranger. 6 Hours.
Episode 9.16
Alex is being honored for her work with the Hope Center by a Businessman's Association. The man who is presenting her the award is Tim Preston, a Billionaire. Also at this function is his daughter, Heather. When Preston presents Alex the award, some of the waiters pull out guns and shoot up the place. Walker, Trivette, Gage and Cooke subdue some of the shooters. Preston instructs his bodyguard, McNeeley to take Heather to safety and he does. He brings her to the limo but then shoots the driver. Two of the shooters come out and help McNeeley put Heather in a van and knock her out. When order is restored Preston is looking for Heather and tries to call McNeeley but doesn't answer. Walker finds what happened strange cause all of the shooters aimed high as if they were not trying to hit anyone. When Walker hears of what happened to Heather, they go to the garage and find the driver dead. Walker thinks that the whole shooting was a diversion so that they could grab Heather. Walker tells Preston to go home and wait for McNeeley to call. He then tells Gage and Cooke to bring the shooters they caught to HQ and interrogate them. McNeeley and his two cohorts arrive at their hideout. They strap her to a chair with a shotgun attached to some kind of device in front of her. One of the guys insists that McNeeley pay him, he pulls a gun and shoots him. He tells the other guy to take out the guys who were caught. The shooters are in a cruiser while Gage and Cooke follow behind in their car. On the way a van blocks their and the guy McNeeley sent comes out with a rocket launcher and blows up the cruiser, Gage and Cooke get out of the way. Later at Preston's he, Alex and Walker are waiting for McNeeley to call and Preston who fought with Heather before going to awarding doesn't want that to be his last image of her. He brings in Seth, a communications expert to help them track McNeeley when he calls. Which he does and demands that Preston wire 100 million in 6 hours to the account he e-mailed to him. Preston wants to see Heather. McNeeley tells him to go the website HEATHERCAM2001. When they go to it they see Heather strapped to a chair, in the back is the timer, and they see the shotgun which he says will fire when the timer runs out. Preston makes arrangements to transfer the money but Walker cautions him that McNeeley might kill Heather even if gets the money. Walker then goes back to HQ to see if he can find Heather before the deadline. Trivette pulls up McNeeley file and finds no marks. He was a Gulf Vet. He then scans through photos of people he served with and Gage and Cooke recognize the man who blew up the guys they caught. His name is Borla, a pilot who served with McNeeley who was dishonorably discharged. They see he has a cousin who owns a bar; Gage and Cooke go to question him. Preston in the meantime can only watch as Heather prays. Gage and Cooke arrive at the bar and Borla's cousin doesn't want to talk and when some of the people at the bar attack them; they take care of them. They talk to Borla again who tells them that his cousin came in a few days sprouting that he is about to come into some money, get to fly again, and leave the country. When they tell Walker, he deduces that McNeeley could be planning to leave the country which is why he needs Borla and they then deduce that to fly that far they need a jet. Knowing fully well McNeeley and Borla can't get one through conventionally; Walker thinks he knows where they will get it. Borla then goes to where Preston keeps his jet and goes up to the pilot and kills him and takes the jet. Walker and Trivette wish that McNeeley would call again so they can trace him. Walker has an idea on how they can do that. He calls Alex whom he tells to instruct Seth to cut the feed, hoping that McNeeley will call. Seth gets on it. Gage and Cooke arrive at the hanger and find the plane gone and the pilot. They then call Walker. He then has Trivette find out which airfields in town can accomodate a jet like Preston's. He finds three possibles and Walker has him, Gage and Cooke check them out. Seth cuts the feed and McNeeley calls and Preston tries to keep him on long enough for the call to be traced but when Preston threatens to withhold the remaining 10 million, McNeeley says that he'll just have to be satisfied with 90 and hangs up. Seth says that he got an approximate location only. There are only 30 minutes left. Trivette and Cooke strike out at the airfields they go to. Gage in the meantime finds Borla and calls Walker who tells him he has to take Borla on his own. Which he does but not after going at it with Borla. And Borla refuses to talk. Gage then calls Walker who tells Gage to get Borla's cellphone and to find McNeeley's number. He gives it to Walker who gives it to Seth who finds where McNeeley is. Walker then goes there in a helicopter. With only minutes left Preston instructs Seth to reactivate the site so that he could see Heather. Heather pleads with McNeeley to release but he flat out refuses. Walker arrvies and McNeeley is about to leave when Walker comes in and they go at it. Walker tries to release Heather but McNeeley interrupts him. With only seconds left the device starts to go and Walker throws McNeeley in front to the blast. He releases Heather whom he takes home to her father.
