The film will be shot in and around Santa Fe from October 9 through November 2 and expects to hire approximately 60 New Mexico crew members and over 300 local principal actors and background talent. "Felon" tells the story of a family man who is convicted of murder for killing an intruder, as he struggles to survive the violent penal system which includes a maximum-security state prison in which a corrupt lieutenant tries to maintain power and order, even if it means crossing the line. Also Mr.Chinlund has a recurring role on the new CBS series Cane! september 25

Nick Chinlund will play Mr.Smith in the indie ensemble drama "Ball Don't Lie" (2007). The film revolves around a teen basketball prodigy trying to make it on the streets, where life is tough. Brin Hill is directing the screenplay, which he wrote with the help of Matt de la Pena. Matt wrote the original novel that the film is based upon.
